This station has been aprimary station in the following surveys: Joint Task Force
Seven, 1947-L8; Holmes,& Narver,“1949-50; Holnes & Narver igsz Expansion.
In the
Holmes & Narver Surveys it was renaned "andyaanit” to designate the name of the island
on which it is located.
The station was ‘disturbed by construction operations in
1951, but was reestablished from RM's using the same brass marker.

This station was recovered in good condition.

RM #1 is in good condition.
It is a 3-1/2" USC & GC brass marker stamped "RM-~1-
KODAK" with a crossed arrow pointing toward the statim.
It is set in concrete
flush with the ground surface,
RM #2 was not recovered.
Digging at the recorded angle and distance unearthed
2 signal cables so it is assumed that RM #2 was destroyed by ditching.
