The cover design indicates the volcanic nature of the high mesa area as related
to lower Mojave Desert playas and Cane Springs on the Nevada Test Site.
In addition to serving as a statement of the status of research on associated
problems, hopefully this document will assist in evaluation and guidance for
future efforts and priorities for environmental transuranics investigations,
reaching toward a better environment for man.
