Mr, Whitman said that he was enthusiastic about the technical
conference-Presicent's Plan idea and that such a meeting would be quite
important,
He thought that there should be technical papers dealing with
| the peaceful applications of atomic energy. He said that he also felt
that there should be a session on how the various countries felt they
could capitalize on the plan,
While he was a little afraid of the inter-
national organizing committee approach, he did not feel strongly on this/
point.
