with the 500 mr/hr position. Leave the switch in cach position until

To chock instrument operation, remove the test
sample from the instrument carrying case and place the paintcd end under
the instruncnt avout 2" from the front cdgc, approximately bencath the
numbers on the RANGE SWITCH dial. On the 500 scale, the meter should
read between 12 and 22 mr/hr. Noxt hold the active end of sample to the
right of the probe while the probe is mounted in the instrument, The
active end of the sample should touch the probc, On the <5 scale, the
meter should read between .18 and .30 me/hr.
