DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHIC PLAN
1. Purpose: To provide still and motion picture coverage of clean-up
operations and historical record of completed task for briefing and
historical/legal record purposes.

Operations:

a. One military photographer will deploy about 7 February 1969 to
Johnston Atoll for transport to Bikini Atoll and upon arrival will report
to and take direction from Commander, Joint Task Group 8.8.
b. He will conduct such still and motion picture photographic coverage
of clean-up operations and of renovated locations as may be required to
adequately document the operations performed and the appearance of the sites
when clean-up operations are complete.
c. Film exposed during the period will be periodically flown to the
Photographic Laboratory, Barbers Point Naval Air Station, for processing
and assembly until completion of the operation. One full set of prints
will be returned to Bikini PIO. The Bikini PIO is authorized to review
photographs as they are produced to select those required for public
information purposes.
d. After completion of the operation and roll-up, all original film
negatives and 35nm slides, together with record prints and caption data
will be forwarded to Headquarters, Joint Task Force EIGHT.

Barbers Point Naval Air Station will estimate costs based on the

following level of effort.
