CONSTRUCTION The U. S. Public Health Service (USPHS) will furnish portable
radiological surveillance equipment which requires 1.5 kw, 110 volt, 60 cycle,
Single phase electrical power. No building or construction will be required as
the U. S. Air Force Air Weather Service (AWS) facilities (F&S No. 43001) will
be used. This is an alternate site and the location is tentative depending on
location and scheduling of tests.
This facility is designated a PRIMARY radiological surveillance station because
of the civilian population being in close proximity to the test location. Radiological surveillance activities include the continuous monitoring of external
radiation levels, and the testing for radionuclide content of food,

water and rainfall.
